Filanovsky accelerates Lukoil’s oil production in the Caspian

Lukoil has produced 9 MM metric tons (9.92 MM tons) of oil from its Yuri Korchagin and recently onstream Vladimir Filanovsky fields in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

MOSCOWLukoil has produced 9 MM metric tons (9.92 MM tons) of oil from its Yuri Korchagin and recently onstream Vladimir Filanovsky fields in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

SinceFilanovsky started operations last fall, the company’s Caspian production has ramped up substantially, with 1 MM metric tons (1 MM tons) produced early this year.

Currently four horizontal wells are in service at the field while a fifth is under construction.

Yuri Korchagin was brought into production in 2010.
