US Gulf of Mexico rig count remains unchanged at 17

The US Gulf of Mexico rig count remained unchanged over the past week at 17, according to the latest Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count.

HOUSTON – The US Gulf of Mexico rig count remained unchanged over the past week at 17, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of Feb. 24, 2017. That number is down by 10 year-over-year.

The overall US offshore drilling rig count was down by one, falling to 17 over the past week. That number is also down by 10 year-over-year.

The overall US rig count, onshore and offshore, was up by three week-over-week at 754, with oil rigs up by five to 602, gas rigs down by four to 151, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at one.

Compared to this time last year, the overall US rig count is up by 252, with oil rigs up by 202, gas rigs up by 49, and miscellaneous rigs up by one.
