Mermaid DSVs win contracts in Middle East, Southeast Asia

Mermaid Maritime’s Western Hemisphere business unit has secured a one-month work extension from an EPC contractor in the Middle East for its DP-2 dive support vessel Mermaid Endurer.

BANGKOK, ThailandMermaid Maritime’s Western Hemisphere business unit has secured a one-month work extension from an EPC contractor in the Middle East for its DP-2 dive support vessel Mermaid Endurer.

The extension, carrying a potential value of $1.8 million, also covers additional standalone saturation diving support work equipment and services.

Another Mermaid subsidiarySeascape Surveys has won two subsea contracts in Southeast Asia, potentially worth $5.1 million combined.

Under a 30-day project, due to start by 1Q 2017, the DP-2 DSVMermaid Nusantara will perform installation activities in the Natuna Sea using heavy duty work-class ROVs.

The second contract, already under way, involves providing survey and inspection services to a third-party diving vessel for around 45 days offshore Malaysia.
