PARISTotal E&P Norge has agreed to use ExproSoft’s WellMaster IMS software for monitoring and optimizing well integrity management.

The operator will implement the system on its various Norwegian continental shelf assets, ensuring well operations are within NORSOK and existing guidelines.

Total already uses WellMaster IMS for its operations on the Atla and Skirne fields, and will expand the solution as a well integrity management system for theMartin Linge development in the North Sea.

The system will be used to follow up on the wells’ risk picture, identify well issues, and to report internally and to the Petroleum Safety Authority.

WellMaster IMS, introduced in 2007, has been used by operators in Norway, the UK, Middle East, and Australia. It is said to ensure that the operator has a comprehensive overview of the wells’ risk picture by systematically monitoring and reporting the status of well barriers.
