Hilong to install MDA-MBH jackets offshore Indonesia

TIMAS has contracted Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering to install jackets for the HCML Madura MDA-MBH gas field development offshore Indonesia.

SHANGHAI, China – TIMAS has contracted Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering to install jackets for the HCML Madura MDA-MBH gas field development offshore Indonesia.

The project partners are China National Offshore Oil Corp. andHusky Energy.

This will be the contractor’s first offshore lifting operation contract and its offshore services contract outside China.

The pipe-lay derrick bargeHilong 106 should begin activities offshore Java in mid-November, with work due to be completed by end-February 2017. The program involves lifting and upending jackets underwater.

Earlier this month the parent Hilong Group andSinopec Offshore Oilfield Services Co. signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Shanghai.

They plan to collaborate in offshore engineering and design, oilfield equipment,oilfield services, and pipeline construction equipment and services, while at the same time promoting research in new types of offshore technology, materials, and techniques.

The agreement is tentatively scheduled to last five years.
