FES to supply bend stiffener connectors for OCTP project offshore Ghana

Oceaneering International Inc. has contracted FES International to supply equipment for the Offshore Cape Three Points project, 60 km (37 mi) offshore Ghana.

ASHINGTON, UKOceaneering International Inc. has contracted FES International to supply equipment for the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) project, 60 km (37 mi) offshore Ghana.

The company will supply a range of equipment including five diverless bend stiffener connectors.

TheOCTP project includes the combined development of the Sankofa Main, Sankofa East, GyeNyame, Sankofa East Cenomanian, and Sankofa East Campanian fields in the Tano basin. Oil production is expected to start in 2017. First gas is expected in 2018.

Rob Anderson, managing director of FES International, said: “The timescales for this project were extremely tight but we have worked closely with our well established supply chain in order to accelerate the process and achieve the customer requirements within the deadlines.

“We have worked extensively with Oceaneering in the United Kingdom and the United States, and continue to maintain a good relationship with the company, which is important for positioning FES International in the area.”
