Eni orders GE equipment for OCTP offshore Ghana

Eni Ghana has signed for GE Oil & Gas to provide $850 million in equipment for Ghana’s Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) block.

HOUSTON – Eni Ghana has signed for GE Oil & Gas to provide $850 million in equipment for Ghana’s Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) block.

The order includes three LM2500+G4 gas turbines for power generation and four centrifugal compressors electric motor driven suitable for anFPSO.

The order also covers subsea production and control system and umbilicals engineering, as well as project management, fabrication, transport, and testing.

The OCTP block is offshore Ghana at a water depth of 500-1,100 m (1,640-3,609 ft), 60 km (37 mi) from the coast. Eni’s partners on the block are Vitol Upstream Ghana Ltd. (35.556%) and the Ghana National Petroleum Corp. (20%).
