OSLO, Norway – Faroe Petroleum has approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploratory well in the Norwegian North Sea.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Arctic will drill well 31/7-1 in production license 740, east of the Oseberg area and south of Brage.
This will be the first well on the license, awarded underNorway’s APA 2013 round. Core Energy is Faroe’s partner.
