KONGSBERG, Norway – Wintershall has awarded Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies a three-year contract to provide its hosted SiteCom real-time data aggregation and visualization solution for well construction.
All real-time, planned and historical data from Wintershall’sdrilling activity worldwide will reside in a central SiteCom repository. This, Kongsberg says, will facilitate monitoring, distribution, visualization, analysis, and interaction.
It will give Wintershall’s engineers and geologists the ability to collaborate seamlessly, Kongsberg adds, whether they are based at the rig site, a local office, or in the operator’s main support hubs in Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway.
Wintershall expects use of SiteCom platform to help it achieve continuous improvement in well construction and delivery.
