MELBOURNE, Australia – Australia’s National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator has approved MEO Australia’s (ASX:MEO) application for work program variance for the offshore AC/P53 tract.

The variance will move geotechnical studies from year six to year five, and defer an exploration well from year five to year six.

“The variation of the remaining work program will allow the undertaking of additional geotechnical studies with the goal of identifying a potentially drillable prospect in the hydrocarbon rich Vulcan sub-basin within which MEO has a substantial acreage footprint,” said MEO managing director and CEO Peter Stickland.
