LONDON – Tullow Oil says gas export from the deepwater Jubilee field to the onshore Ghana Gas plant at Atuabo has been suspended since July 3.

This follows technical issues with gas compression systems on theFPSOKwame Nkrumah. As a result, oil production is currently constrained to around 65,000 b/d, but there is no impact on the field’s reservoir or resources, the company stresses.

Tullow has mobilized a specialist team of experts to address the fault within the gas compression system and estimates it will take a further three weeks to reinstate gas export and full oil production.
