Marginal field initiative adds two members

MANCHESTER, UK – AGR Well Management and Frames have joined the Marginal Field Delivery Consortium, led by ABT Oil and Gas (ABTOG). Kongsberg Maritime, Apollo, and Braemar ACM are the other members.

ABTOG, a joint venture between Enegi Oil and ABTechnology, has been progressing themarginal field initiative for several years. The various industry partners bring the complementary expertise needed to deliver field development projects.

AGR will provide a range of services to design and deliver well engineering and well project management elements of marginal field development projects.

Frames designs and constructs separation, treatment, control and monitoring systems, as well as total plant solutions and modules. The company is already working with ABTOG and Kongsberg Maritime to deliver offshore process and utility systems that can be operated on a normally unattended basis, another component for marginal offshore field developments.

In the near future ABTOG aims to add further specialists to the consortium, which has identified various marginal field opportunities. ABTOG is in discussions with oil and gas companies to advance these further.
