MANCHESTER, UK – Apollo Offshore Engineering has agreed to collaborate with ABT Oil and Gas (ABTOG) in the Marginal Field Delivery Consortium.

ABTOG is a joint venture between Enegi Oil and ABTechnology. Other existing members of the consortium are Kongsberg Maritime and Braemar ACM Shipping.

Subsea/topsides engineering specialist Apollo is already working with ABTOG on expanding a portfolio of fixed and tethered solutions for marginal offshore fields, the aim being to limit capex and to ensure the solutions can be normally unattended, keeping opex to a minimum.

ABTOG expects to announce further collaborations in the coming weeks including in process engineering and project management.

However, the JV has ended discussions on a previously announcedmemorandum of understanding with Wood Group PSN after failing to strike an agreement.
