Offshore staff
HOUSTON –While the overall US rig count has dropped, the number of offshore rigs has gone up.
TheBaker Hughes US Rig Count found a total of 988 rigs, down 40 from the prior week. The US Offshore Rig Count over the same period, however, has gone up by two to hit a total of 33. This still is 20 rigs short of the count year over year.
In Canada, the Baker Hughes total rig count has declined by one from 99 the prior week. For the year, Canada is down 113 rigs.
