OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Statoil to drill an exploratory well close to the Gina Krog field in the central Norwegian North Sea.
The semisubmersibleSonga Trym will drill well 15/6-13 S in production license 029 B, comprising parts of block 15/6.
This will be the second wildcat well in the license.
