LONDONEnQuest has issued an update on its development and exploration programs in the UK North Sea and offshore Malaysia.

In the northern UK sector, development drilling will re-start this year at the Thistle complex. EnQuest plans to bring onstream three new production wells – one in mid-year and two more later on.

At the Dons area, the company aims to start production from the first well on theYthan field development by mid-2015. This will be followed by drilling of the Ythan AA injector well around the end of 2015.

The company plans remedial measures in the West Don W4 well, which has been shut-in since November due to scale build-up.

After completion of the Heather field H66 production well, no further drilling is planned this year.

The heavy-oil Kraken field development schedule this year comprises installation of subsea hardware, including the manifolds for the first drill center that connect to the templates (already in place); placement of two templates for the second drill center; installation of the mooring system for the FPSO; and the start of development drilling.

Kraken’s new drilling rig is expected on location during 2H to start work on a batch top-hole drilling program. As for the FPSO, dry docking will start soon to install the turret infrastructure.

At theGreater Kittiwake Area (GKA) in the UK central North Sea, EnQuest expects to drill a side track on the Gadwall satellite following the success of a workover campaign on Mallard, which lifted production through the Kittiwake platform briefly to 7,300 boe/d.

Since acquiring GKA from Centrica, EnQuest says it has improved operational efficiency. The Grouse well now benefits from a stable gas-lift supply.

TheEnQuest Producer vessel has completed marine performance trials and is on course to receive first oil from the Alma/Galia project in mid-2015, with five wells now available to come onstream.

EnQuest plans a phased start-up, with one well coming online per week for the first month. Drilling on the Galia production well is expected to be completed and tied in during 2H 2015.

At the PM8/Seligi concession offshore Malaysia, EnQuest assumed offshore field operations in October. The company intends to enhance production through well interventions, facilities rectification and upgrades, including work on gas compressors, pipelines, and generators. Subsurface studies should lead to new wells being drilled in 2016.

A year ago the company signed a contract for development of theTanjong Baram field offshore Sarawak via an unmanned platform producing to the Petronas-operated West Lutong A complex.  EnQuest plans two wells, with capacity for one additional well in the facilities design. First oil is expected to flow by mid-year.
