BOA orders newbuild construction/IMR vessel from NorYards

BOA IMR AS has entered a shipbuilding contract with NorYards Fosen AS for a light construction/IMR vessel to be delivered in the first half of 2017.

TRONDHEIM, Norway –BOA IMR AS has entered a shipbuilding contract with NorYards Fosen AS for a light construction/IMR vessel to be delivered in the first half of 2017.

The vessel with main dimensions of 108 x 24 m (354 x 79 ft) is designed by NorYards in cooperation with BOA Offshore. The vessel will be equipped with a 150-ton AH crane and a smaller working crane for 3,000 m (9,842 ft) working depth, accommodation for 125 passengers, a 1,500-sq m (16,146-sq ft) deck with moon pool and two working ROVs. The vessel will be classified by DNV with amongst others the notations of Ice 1-A, Well Stimulation and LFL.

The vessel will be underBOA Offshore AS management and will be chartered to BOA Marine Services Inc.
