CALGARY, Canada– Talisman’s UK North Sea production averaged 12,000 boe/d during 3Q 2014, down 37% from the previous quarter and 43% year-over-year.
The dip was due largely to planned turnarounds at the offshoreClaymore, Piper, and Buchan complexes and at the Bleo Holm FPSO. All these programs, except for Bleo Holm, have since been completed.
Throughout the year, Talisman says it has been challenged with respect to asset uptime, declining production, and potential increases to development and decommissioning cost estimates.
Offshore Norway, the company’s production averaged 17,500 boe/d in 3Q, up 20% from 2Q, following the completion of planned turnarounds.
