CALGARY, Canada -- Talisman Energy’s UK North Sea production averaged 21,000 boe/d during 3Q 2013, up 24% from the corresponding period in 2012. However, the company’s operations continue to be impacted by scheduled turnarounds and reliability issues.

In August a new compressor was lifted onto theClaymore platform in the central North Sea, but the facility remains shut down by a turnaround program and additional work to deal with corrosion issues. Production should resume early next year.

ThePiper platform too is shut down, in this case for replacement of the flare tip; operations should re-start by year-end.

Offshore Australia/Timor Leste, Talisman’s production has been hit by decline and facility interruptions atKitan, and a planned shutdown at Lam/Cor. The Stena Clyde offshore drilling rig should arrive at Kitan shortly to start drilling Kitan-South, the first of a two-well appraisal program.
