TransAtlantic updates oil well results offshore Turkey

TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. recently completed several wells in its Bahar field offshore Turkey.

HAMILTON, Bermuda –
TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (NYSE-MKT:TAT) (TSX:TNP) recently completed several wells in its Bahar field offshore Turkey. Well locations were selected using 3D data from the company's 872-sq km (337-sq mi) seismic program, the largest in Turkey's history.

The Bahar-4 (100% working interest) had an initial production rate of more than 500 b/d of oil from the upper Bedinan zone at a depth of 10,000 ft (3,048 m), and has produced an average rate of 450 b/d during its initial seven days of production.

The Bahar-3 (100% working interest) had an initial production rate of more than 400 b/d from its upper Bedinan zone and has produced an average of 350 b/d during its initial week of production.

Combined with production from the lower Bedinan zone at 10,550 ft (3,216 m), the average production for Bahar-3 is 470 b/d.

The Bahar-2ST (100% working interest), recently completed in the Hazro zone, is currently on a pump test.
