SINGAPOREKrisEnergy says the S/V Nordic Bahari has started acquisition of 1,200 km (745 mi) of 2D seismic in the Sakti production-sharing contract (PSC) offshore East Java.

A consortium of PT. Alamjaya Makmur Sejahtera and PT. Bahari Lines Indonesia is managing the program.

KrisEnergy was awarded a 95% operated interest in the Sakti PSC in February. The Sakti exploration block covers 4,974 sq km (1,920 sq mi) in the East Java Sea over the western margin of the East Java basin, Bawean Arch, and the Muriah Trough.

It is also adjacent to the Bulu PSC, where the company has submitted a development plan for the Lengo gas field, with a view to supply the East Java market.
