WINDSOR, UKCentrica has completed fracking on its Grove gas project in the UK southern North Sea and expects first production later this year.

In the same basin, a fourth well has delivered strong test results at the company’sYork field and should produce first gas in the next few months. It follows disappointing results on York’s second and third wells.

Centrica is reviewing results of theValemon North, Solberg, and Cepheus discoveries in the UK and Norwegian sectors. Another recent find – Novus in the Norwegian Sea – does not appear to be commercial, and the Kookaburra exploratory well was dry.
