SINGAPORE – KrisEnergy has approval to develop the Wassana oil field in license G10/48 in the Gulf of Thailand.

The company plans to use a converted Bethlehem Matt Type jackup, currently employed on another project offshoreMalaysia, as a mobile offshore production unit on Wassana, with 12-14 development wells producing to an FSO vessel.

The MOPU/jackup is designed for water depths up to 65 m (213 ft) with capacity to process up to 20,000 b/d of oil and to inject 15,000 b/d of water.
