SINGAPORE– KrisEnergy has contracted Shelf Drilling’s jackup Key Gibraltar for a drilling campaign in two Gulf of Thailand licenses.
The contract starts early next year and runs for six months, extendable by two more months.
The program will comprise 12-14 development wells in G10/48 over the southern Pattani basin, where KrisEnergy is developing theWassana oil field, and several exploration wells elsewhere in the contract area.
Thereafter the rig will head north to G6/48 for appraisal drilling in the Rossukon area where oil was discovered in 2009.
