ABERDEEN, UKTendeka has received a three-year contract for the provision of zonal isolation technologies to a Malaysian oil and gas company in the Asia/Pacific region. The contract was awarded through Tendeka’s partner in the region, Dialog Systems Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dialog Group Bhd.

Tendeka’s range of zonal isolation technologies are used to reduce well construction costs, extend well life, and improve well integrity.

The company ssays its proprietary elastomer technology delivers isolation performance across a variety of temperature and salinity profiles. Its swellable packers are used to prevent fluid communication between individual reservoir sections, or to achieve a pressure seal or zonal isolation as required. With Tendeka technology, while the packers swell when they come in to contact with specific conditions, they also retain their flexibility and can react to subsequent changes in the wellbore geometry.
