Dialog Group enters two joint oilfield service ventures in Southeast Asia

Dialog Group Berhad subsidiary dialog (Labuan) Ltd. and Integrated Petroleum Services Sdn Bhd have agreed to establish Dialog IPS Marine (Labuan) Ltd.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia –Dialog Group Berhad subsidiary dialog (Labuan) Ltd. and Integrated Petroleum Services Sdn Bhd have agreed to establish Dialog IPS Marine (Labuan) Ltd. DIPSM will own marine vessels to distribute base oil used by operators and drilling fluid service companies.

The Dialog Group Berhad says subsidiary Dialog D&P Sdn Bhd has agreed in with Halliburton International Inc. subsidiary Asia Energy Services Sdn Bhd to take a 50% interest in Halliburton Bayan Petroleum Sdn Bhd to jointly manage the service contract for Bayan field. The field is offshore Bintulu, Sarawak.

The service contract covers enhanced recovery using production enhancements, oil development, and prospect appraisal.

Earlier this year Dialog and Halliburton had agreed to cooperate to pursue projects in Malaysia.
