Papa Terra TLP in place offshore Brazil

McDermott has completed installation of the extended TLP on the Papa Terra field for Petrobras.

HOUSTON – McDermott has completed installation of the extended TLP on the Papa Terra field for Petrobras. This is the first deepwater dry tree project offshore Brazil.

The construction vesselDB 50 has since demobilized from the field.

Elsewhere, McDermott expects to complete remaining offshore work on Azerbaijan’s COP project in the Caspian Sea by mid-May.

In the Far East, fabrication operations in Batam, Indonesia, are on track for INPEX’sIchthys project off northwest Australia. Offshore installations are expected to start during 3Q 2014.

OffMalaysia, McDermott completed pipe and subsea structure installations for the Siakap project and the North Ocean 105 vessel has demobilized from the field. Mechanical completion is imminent.

The company describes its program as “a major technical achievement of complex pipe-in-pipe and subsea structure installation in over 5,000 ft [1,524 m] of water.”
