    BG secures four offshore blocks in Myanmar bid round

    BG Group has been awarded interests in four exploration blocks offshore Myanmar, following the government’s 2013 Offshore Bid Round.

    READING, UK – BG Group has been awarded interests in four exploration blocks offshore Myanmar, following the government’s 2013 Offshore Bid Round.

    The company will operate blocks A4 and AD2 with respective equity of 45% and 55%, and will also take non-operated 45% interests in blocks A7 and AD5. All four concessions are in the Rakhine basin offshore western Myanmar.

    BG and its partners will acquire3D seismic in each block, starting in 2014/2015 with options for future drilling.
