HOUSTON– Benthic has broken its record dive depth with the proprietary portable remotely operated drill (PROD) while working offshore Tanzania.
PROD2 conducted CPT and piston coring for 55 continuous hours on the seabed in water depths of 2,672 m (8,766 ft) achieving the deepest deployment of a seabed geotechnical drill unit to date.
