HOUSTON– Anadarko has contracted Benthic to perform a deepwater geotechnical investigation in support of the Prosperidade and Gulfinho developments offshore Mozambique.
Benthic’s portable remotely operated drill (PROD) will perform rotary drilling and sampling, and in situ testing to penetration depths of up to 100 m (328 ft) below the mudline, in water depths ranging from 50 m (164 ft) to 3,000 m (9,843 ft).
With the drill unit located on the seabed, PROD provides a stable and controlled platform, enabling Benthic’s team to make tool adjustments and collect data.
