STOCKHOLM, Sweden --Abandonment of the Murphy Oil-operated Azurite field off Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) is making good progress, according to partner PA Resources.
All the wells have beenP&A’d and work is under way to demobilize the drilling rig from the Azurite FDPSO, which is set for sail-away before mid-year.
Murphy gave notice of termination to the owner of the FDPSO, effective April 30, and is negotiating acontractual termination fee and related costs.
