SINGAPORE – The Nordic Bahari has started a 1,300-km (808-mi) 2D seismic survey over the East Muriah production-sharing contract in the East Java Sea, offshore Indonesia, for KrisEnergy and partner AWE.

The concession includes the East Lengo gas discovery. Water depths range from 50-65 m (164-213 ft). The partners plan an appraisal well this summer.

Chris Gibson-Robinson, KrisEnergy’s director exploration and production, said that aside from further delineation of East Lengo, the seismic program was designed to confirm additional gas prospects in the block.
