OMV, EMGS sign licensing agreement

TRONDHEIM, Norway – OMV Norge has awarded Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) a $4-million licensing agreement.
This concerns provision of 3D electromagnetic data from EMGS’ multi-client data library in the frontierHoop area in the Barents Sea, where OMV discovered oil in the Wisting structure in September.
EMGS’s data library in theBarents Sea now covers more than 30,000 sq km (11,583 sq mi), including approximately 110 blocks of which 57 are open blocks.
