LONDON– Hoang Long Joint Operating Co. has completed testing of the TGT-10XST1 exploration well on the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field H5 fault block offshore southern Vietnam.

According to partner SOCO International, combined flow from the three Miocene/Oligocene zones tested above expectations at more than 27,600 boe/d. This is among the most prolific rates for an individual well anywhere in Vietnam.

The final test, over a perforated interval of 88.6 m (290 ft) in the lower Miocene intra-lower Bach Ho 5.2 upper and lower sequence, flowed at an average maximum rate of 5,156 b/d of oil and 32.5 MMcf/d (920,298 cm/d) of gas.

The well is 6 km (3.7 mi) south of theH4 wellhead platform in the southern part of the TGT field in block 16-1 in the Cuu Long basin.
