ULSTEINVIK, Norway –
The Brazilian ship owner Oceana Offshore will build two platform supply vessels (PSVs) with an option for two additional vessels based on the PX105 design from Ulstein Design & Solutions AS. The vessels will be built at Oceana Shipyard in Itajai, Brazil, and are scheduled for delivery in April and May 2016, respectively.

The Oceana vessels will be purposed for work in the Brazilian oil industry. The PX105 design can accommodate 23 people. The vessels will be 88.9 m (292 ft) long and 19 m (62 ft) wide. With a dead weight ton (DWT) measurement of 4,700 metric tons, they comply with Petrobras’ PSV 4500 tender.

These vessels are being designed to have a high operational window and the capability to take on complex assignments far from shore. They will come with the X-BOW hull line design feature.
