Statoil contracts Ocean Installer for Norwegian SURF work

Statoil has awarded Ocean Installer a SURF contract for subsea lines modifications on the Norwegian continental shelf.

STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has awarded Ocean Installer a SURF contract for subsea lines modifications on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The firm contract value is $55 million with additional options that could reach $95 million.

The work scope comprises marine operations for replacement/installation of flexible risers, flowlines, jumpers, structures, and umbilicals, including all associated tie-in activities, at several Statoil operated fields in the North Sea. .

Offshore operations will take place during the summer seasons in 2014, 2015, 2016, and potentially 2017. The newbuild construction support vesselNormand Vision will be used as the main installation vessel, with the possibility of a light construction support vessel addition. The Normand Vision is scheduled for delivery to the market in June 2014.
