GREAT YARMOUTH, UK– RWE Dea has awarded Offshore Design Engineering (ODE) a £40-million ($64-million), five-year contract for operations support services in the UK southern North Sea.

Over the past eight years ODE has supported RWE’sCavendish, Topaz, Clipper South, and Breagh gas field developments. Recent work includes an initial front-end engineering design for the planned Breagh Bravo platform development conducted from ODE’s London offices.

ODE’s Great Yarmouth Marine Base will manage the new contract. The scope includes offshore operations, office-based support facilities such as engineering and technical services, maintenance and integrity management, emergency response support, warehousing, operational spares storage, and quayside access.

Clipper South and Breagh are still undergoing development drilling with the Breagh Phase 1 platform due to come onstream this month. ODE has provided engineering, operations, and maintenance input throughout detailed design and pre-commissioning and development of subsequent maintenance, inspection, and integrity management schemes.

The Clipper South platform has been inproduction for over a year and ODE is providing a crew handling platform operations, maintenance, and support during the manned phase of operations.
