Second Jaya PSV to work offshore East Africa

Jaya Holdings has won a two-year contract valued at more than $20 million for its new DP-2 platform supply vessel Jaya Vigilant to operate offshore Mozambique.

SINGAPORE– Jaya Holdings has won a two-year contract valued at more than $20 million for its new DP-2 platform supply vessel Jaya Vigilantto operate offshore Mozambique.

The vessel, originally designed as a large PSV, is being upgraded to accommodate additional equipment prior to delivery from Jaya’s yard in Batam, Indonesia, at the end of September.

The work scope includes ROV support, survey work, and core sampling in water depths of up to 2,000 m (6,562 ft). This will require a 50-ton subsea-rated deepwater crane and a mezzanine deck for the ROV spread, along with communications and survey pole equipment, and enhanced passenger facilities.

Last month Jaya Holdings delivered sister vesselJaya Valour, currently serving fracturing and coil tubing projects offshore Southeast Asia.
