Keppel FELS signs $206 million jackup deal

Keppel FELS has inked a contract worth $206 million with Uruguay-based investment firm Parden Holding for the construction of a new jackup.

SINGAPORE – Keppel FELS has inked a contract worth $206 million with Uruguay-based investment firm Parden Holding for the construction of a new jackup.

The KFELS B Class rig will be deployed offshore Mexico following an anticipated 4Q 2015 delivery. The jackup will operate in water depths up to 400 ft (122 m) and drill to depths of 30,000 ft (9,144 m).

The Keppel Offshore & Marine subsidiary has a total of nine B Class jackupsunder construction that are bound for the Mexican market.
