GE to supply control valves to North Sea Hejre platform

LONDON– Technip (PARIS:TEC) has chosen control valve technology from GE (NYSE: GE) for DONG’s new Hejre field production platform in the Danish North Sea.

Technip is constructing the platform in partnership with DSME in South Korea. Hejre is estimated to produce 16 MMcm of oil and 10 bcm of gas during its operating lifetime.

The platform features wellhead and processing facilities and other equipment and will support production from five subsea wells. It will be capable of producing up to 76 MMcf/d (2.2 MMcm/d) of gas and 35,000 b/d of oil, and is due to start operating in 2015.

The GE Masoneilan valves will be used to control flow, pressure, level or temperature on separators, coolers and scrubbers, injection pumps, export pumps, and metering for theHejre project.
