LONDON – Nexen has replaced Endeavour as operator of the West Rochelle field development in the central North Sea.
The field is a tieback to the Nexen-operated Scott platform, which is due to start a summer shutdown today. First gas fromWest Rochelle is expected to flow in September, according to partner Premier Oil, at an initial rate of 80 MMcf/d (2.3 MMcm/d) of gas and 3,000 b/d of oil.
