GE to expand Snøhvit subsea injection capacity

GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) has won a $147-million engineering,  procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Statoil to supply subsea production and injection  equipment for Statoil’s Snøhvit carbon dioxide (CO2) injection  project.

BERGEN, Norway – GE Oil & Gas (NYSE: GE) has won a $147-million engineering,  procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Statoil to supply subsea production and injection  equipment for Statoil’s Snøhvit carbon dioxide (CO2) injection  project.

GE will supply asubsea system enabling both injection and production wells. 

Delivery of the equipment will take place during 2Q 2015. GE will manufacture the trees at Aberdeen and the control systems at Nailsea, U.K. Meanwhile, the subsea template and manifold components will be built in Norway.

GE will manage the EPC project from its Bristol, U.K., offices.
