Exxon contracts Julia deepwater production risers to 2H Offshore

HOUSTON – Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE:XOM) has contracted 2H Offshore to do the detailed design of two 10-in. production steel catenary risers to use in Phase 1 of the Julia development in the Gulf of Mexico.

TheJulia development will be a subsea tieback to a moored semisubmersible in approximately 7,000 ft (2,134 m) of water. Exxon Mobil has contracted Technip to engineer, fabricate, install, and pre-commission flowlines, SCRs, and flowline end terminations at Julia.
