    SLP expands North Sea Golden Eagle fabrication contract

    Sembmarine SLP will fabricate the bridge and flare structures for Nexen Petroleum’s Golden Eagle development in the UK central North Sea.

    SINGAPORE – Sembmarine SLP will fabricate the bridge and flare structures for Nexen Petroleum’s Golden Eagle development in the UK central North Sea.

    SLP is also EPC contractor for living quarters platform. This and the new consignment are scheduled for delivery in May 2014.

    Thebridge will have a span of about 70 m (230 ft) and a weight of 550 metric tons (606 tons). It will give access to personnel and services access between the PUQ and drilling platforms.

    The flare will also be 70 m long with an estimated weight of 225 metric tons (248 tons).
