Subsea 7 to tie in Oseberg satellite for Statoil

Statoil (OSE:STL) has contracted Subsea 7 (Oslo Børs: SUBC) for pipelay and subsea installations at the Oseberg Delta 2 field in the Norwegian North Sea.

LUXEMBOURG– Statoil (OSE:STL) has contracted Subsea 7 (Oslo Børs: SUBC) for pipelay and subsea installations at the Oseberg Delta 2 field in the Norwegian North Sea.

Scope of the $160-million program includes design, fabrication, and installation of two insulated rigid production pipelines totaling 10 km (6.2 mi); engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of two flexible gas injection lines totaling 9 km (5.6 mi); installation of two umbilicals totaling 16 km (9.9 mi); and manifolds installation and tie-ins.

Subsea 7’s spoolbase in Vigra, Norway, will fabricate the pipe and the Oslo office will handle project management and engineering. Offshore operations are expected to start early next year.
