OSLO, Norway – Evaluation is under way of newly acquired 3D seismic data collected on the Hammamet license offshore Tunisia. According to operator DNO, the survey covers the Tazerka North and Kasserine areas.

The company has submitted an application to the Tunisian authorities to progress to the second term of the license, including drilling of one commitment well.

In block 8 offshore Oman, the company completed theWest Bukha-5 development well. This delivered more than 1,000 b/d of oil from an initial short-term test; however, since being connected to the export pipeline system, output from the well has been below expectations, partly due to export pipeline back-pressure.

Additional acid stimulation is under way to improve flow from the well and other measures will be adopted to optimize overall field performance.
