The Spaniards East exploration well in the central North Sea has started drilling says Faroe Petroleum.

ABERDEEN, UK –The Spaniards East exploration well in the central North Sea has started drilling says Faroe Petroleum.

The well, in block 15/21a south ofPerth field and close to Scott field is expected to take the WilPhoenixsemisubmersible drilling rig 40 days to do.

Premier Oil is the operator, with partners Serica Energy, Cairn Energy, Parkmead, Maersk Oil, and Atlantic Petroleum. Faroe Petroleum has an 8.4% carried interest.
