    Plexus orders wellhead spread to support Norway wells

    Talisman Energy (TSX:TLM;NYSE:TLM) has contracted Plexus Holdings (AIM:POS.L) to supply its POS-GRIP high-pressure/high-temperature and standard pressure POS-GRIP wellhead and mudline suspension equipment for two wells in the Norwegian North Sea.

    LONDON -- Talisman Energy (TSX:TLM;NYSE:TLM) has contracted Plexus Holdings (AIM:POS.L) to supply its POS-GRIP high-pressure/high-temperature and standard pressure POS-GRIP wellhead and mudline suspension equipment for two wells in the Norwegian North Sea.

    These orders form part of anexisting contract with Talisman, announced in July 2009.  The first covers supply of standard 10,000 psi (689 bar) equipment for the Isbjørn well, with drilling imminent.

    The second order is for 18-3/4-in., 15,000 psi (1,034 bar) HP/HT wellhead equipment for the Frode well where drilling is due to start in April. Both wells will be drilled by theMaersk Giant, which recently arrived in Norway following upgrades and class renewal work.

    Plexus expects further orders for future drilling from the rig in due course.
