DUBAI, UAE — Shelf Drilling has issued an update on forthcoming programs for three of its rigs.
Shelf Drilling Barsk should start operations for Equinor offshore Norway in mid-May. The contract has a minimum firm term through December 2025, with further option wells thereafter.
Shelf Drilling Perseverance is undergoing preparations for a contract offshore Vietnam with PetroVietnam Domestic Exploration Production Operating Co. Drilling operations are due to start in late July and continue until November 2025, again followed by option wells.
Finally, the company has secured a letter of award for the Shelf Drilling Fortress for work in the North Sea, expected to start in July or August upon completion of the rig’s current contract.
Shelf Drilling North Sea’s total backlog is currently about $311 million.
