Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway –Statoil and AGR have joined to develop managed pressure drilling practices for floating rigs. The first phase of the project is valued at $5.1 million.
Development will be based on AGR’s EC-Drill system and Ocean Riser Systems’ Low Riser Return System.
EC-Drill manages the bottomhole pressure by changing the level of drilling mud in the riser.
Ocean Riser Systems (ORS) and Enhanced Drilling Solutions (EDS), part of AGR, recently united to form EDS-ORS.
